Eight months in and our language tutor laughed at one of my jokes today. First time. It felt like a real milestone. The gospel work is slow here — but I'm learning that slow doesn't mean stopped.

Six months in Tamale

We buried a church member this week. Her name was Abena. She was 34. At the graveside her husband asked me to read from John 11. Standing there, I understood something about this work I hadn't before.

Our youngest hasn't slept well in weeks. We're down to just our family after the Hendersons went home last month. We're tired in ways that are hard to put into words. Please pray — not just for endurance but for joy.
